Mid Apr 2009 (18 days) India's Sikkim Trekking (Dzongri-Goechala Trail)
Approximately Rm4700 (10-12 pax group), Rm4500 (14 pax) & Rm4400 (16 pax and above)Update 15 Oct 08- Note that on trekking days, group will be accompanied by local guides, a kitchen crew and horsemen. There will also be packhorses carrying the equipment including main luggages. Group member will carry a day pack with snacks, lunch pack, water, cameras and jackets and fleece. This is similar to our Indian Himalayas Bhapa Pass trekking trips. We also use jeeps for Sikkim as the roads are too narrow for buses.
Some members from Sikkim April08 extend to Bhutan after the trip. Please let us know if you keen to extend to Bhutan.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
This is meant to be a "free and easy" adventure trip. Participants should be relatively fit (for Sikkim trekking one must be fit), with a good sense of humour, and above all, have the right attitude for close travel with others through possibly some trying times. Most definitely, this is not a trip for prudes, whiners, fuss-pots, and other similiarly assorted types! We had a couple of those before and it wasn't pleasant for us or them. Although every effort will be made to stick to the given itinerary, ground conditions may change and cause some disruption and/or deviation from the norm. Otherwise, have fun!

Small but beautiful, Sikkim is situated in the eastern Himalayas . The state is spread below the Mount Khanchendzonga (8534 mts), the third highest mountain in the world, and revered by the Sikkimese as their protective deity. With an area of 7,300 sq km and measuring approx. 114 km from the north to south and 64 km from east to west, the elevation ranges from 300m to over 8540m above sea level.
