By November the monsoon season is over in most parts of the South (although it can still rain on the East Coast) and the weather is not too hot yet.know about true Indian culture. Its strategic importance over the centuries is underlined by the sobriquet Queen of the Arabian Sea. From time immemorial, the Arabs, British, Chinese, Dutch, and Portuguese have left indelible marks on the history and development of Cochin. Over the years, Cochin has emerged as the commercial and industrial capital of Kerala and is perhaps the second most important city on the west coast of India (after Mumbai/Bombay). Cochin is proud of its world class port and international airport that link it to many major cities worldwide.
Day 1 Oct 20 Thu Fly to Cochin : Depart LCCT on AK203 at 1500PM and arriving at 1630PM. Transfer to hotel. Overnight (ON) Cochin.
Day 2 Cochin Munnar: After breakfast drive 145 km, 4 hours to Munnar. One of the most popular hill stations in India, Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Located at 1600 M above sea level, this was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns. Winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make Munnar a unique experience. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji a flower which bathes the hills in he blue colour once in every twelve years. The Neelakurinji, will bloom next in 2018 AD. Overnight Munnar.

Neelakurinji/Mattupetty/Tea Plantation at Munnar/Indian ChineseDay 3 Munnar: After breakfast drive to End Top Station 32 Km from Munnar and 50 Km from Hotel Siena Village enroute visit Mattupetty situated at a height of 1700 Mts is famous for its highly specialised dairy farm, the Indo-swiss live stock project. Over 100 varieties of high yielding cattle are reared here. Visitors are allowed into three of the eleven cattle sheds at the farm The Mattupetty lake and dam, just a short distance from the farm, is a very beautiful picnic spot. The sprawling Kundala tea plantations and the Kundala lake are other attractions in the vicinity. Eco Point, Evening drive to catch sunset. O/N Munnar
Day 4 Munnar - Thekkady : After breakfast drive 110 km, 3 hours to Thekkady. The river Periyar is the longest river in Kerala. This is the only perennial river in South India with clean water. The river occupies an important place in the history of Kerala. In the afternoon, visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, situated in the Thekkady district of Tamil Nadu bordering with Kerala. The sanctuary is one of the most important and frequently visited in India. Take a boat trip on the large artificial lake surrounded by dense forests, offering the opportunity to view wildlife including elephant, wild boar, and sambar, for which the lake is an important water source. Day 5 Thekkady - Allepy : Morning after breakfast check out and drive 155 km, 3.30 hours to the start point of the boat ride at Alleppy. The whole day boat cruise through the waters of Vambanad lake and carry on to Allepey. All meals served on board and overnight stay also in the locally made boat. The lake is flocked by many migratory birds in winter and inhabited by many local & permanent water birds. O/N Allepy.

Sunset at Kovalam Beach/Houseboat/SunriseDay 6 Allepy -Kovalam: 0900 hour leave houseboat after breakfast and drive 165 km, 3 hours to Kovalam Beach Kovalam. Kovalam" means a grove of coconut trees and true to its name the village offers an endless sight of coconut trees. is 15kms to the south of Thiruvananthapuram and is one of the finest beaches in India. It has been developed into an integrated seaside resort. O/N Kovalam
Day 7 Kovalam :Full of the day to relax at the beach or indulge in Ayurvedic massages. Kovalam is a sheltered bay endowed with unusual beauty, located on the magnificent Arabian Sea coast. This natural bay is a safe sea-pool, free from high waves and surges. It is an ideal place to swim, sunbathe and perhaps enjoy the ancient rites of an Ayurvedic massage and oil bath. O/N Kovalam.
Day 8 Kovalam - Cochin: After breakfast drive 220 KM, 4-5 hours to Cochin - 'Queen of the Arabian' Sea is the commercial capital of Kerala. Cochin has one of the finest natural harbors in the world. Afternoon city tour of Cochin visiting the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue (which is closed on Saturdays), St. Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Basilica. The tour ends in the Fort Kochi area where you can walk through the historical Dutch and Portuguese buildings. Some parts of this nearly 500-year-old Fort are still amazingly well preserved. Evening Kathakali Dance show. This is India''s most spectacular dance forms, based on stories from Ramayana and Mahabharata. The dancers are elaborately made up with paint and masks, accompanied with drummers and musicians.

Day 9 Fly Home: Morning drive to Cochin for Last minute Shopping and own activities within town. In time transfer to Cochin International Airport to board on your scheduled flight to KL. Depart AK1204 from Cochin at 1715PM
Day 10 Fly Home : Arrive LCCT at 0005AM 16 Dec 2012 Sunday.
