Rm1300 (per pax for group 8-10 pax), Rm1200 (12 pax) and Rm1100 (16 pax) Ex-Tawau (excludes airfares)Update 27 Sep 2009 - Mar and May are the best months to visit Maliau because of the Orchid flowering season. Expect a sizeable crowd especially in April, mostly foreigners who are aware of this fact. Let us know early so that we can book the places quickly. Current Air Asia fare is Rm179 included airport taxes. Check out the Sep08 pics on the link above.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
This is meant to be a "free and easy" budget trip. Participants should be relatively fit (for Maliau trip, participants have to be fit or get fit) with a good sense of humour, and above all, have the right attitude for close travel with others through possibly some trying times. Most definitely, this is not a trip for prudes, whiners, fuss-pots, and other similiarly assorted types! Although every effort will be made to stick to the given itinerary, ground conditions may change and cause some disruption and/or deviation from the norm. Otherwise, have fun!
This trip is for regular trekkers to whom Maliau Basin needs no introduction. One has to be fit or has to get fit to endure the long hours of jungle trekking. Group will buy/cook own meals. For this purpose, a separate Group Fund of Rm150 will be collected. The group fund will also be used to pay for the food porters if needed and the optional night drive Rm150 per vehicle for max 8pax.
